The challenge: week 7
Two weeks late. Sorry about that. I’ve been kinda in a slump. But its time to get back on track!
30 (ish) minutes.
So I notice right away that the head and face should be tilted more upwards. The shadows aren’t right (surprise surprise), her mouth is off and her left arm should be further behind her torso. However, I got in a bit of a groove during the end and I risked...

The challenge: Week 6
SUPER late. I can’t believe it took me three tries, but I finally got into a groove. I had a hard time on the hand on the floor. And I ran out of time when I got to the floor lines. But I learned a LOT on this piece.
55 Minutes:
Continuous pencil
This little article over at Lines and Colors about the Continuous pencil concept from Yanko design is really something. I for one have both mechanical pencils and lead holders, but I always seem to return back to basic wood pencils. Something about them always felt right, even though mechanical and lead holders are good for very specific kinds of effects.
I think it would be cool to see this...

Well here it is. Now I need to just work on line quality and not crappy value. Although my volume and proportion and getting better.
